Example 5:

Your answer for the mean is wrong in part a. I'm pretty sure you don't need to make it negative. I think the mean should be 150.3

okay!

Can I just please say something? Have you been sent by God on earth to save the lives of us IB students? Or, perhaps, make the life easier?

No, I am serious. I am as serious as can be. Are you an angel or something? Is there something I can do for you? like… I dont know, send you 50 packets of chocolate, or maggi or… whatever.

I dont even know how to say thank you or appreciate this website because I dont have words or the perfect terminology for this website.
It is beyond good, and perfect.

:) hehe… Thanks a lot!

could you please make an easier version of how to calculate sums in arithmetic as well as geometric progressions that consist of simple interest and compound interest questions? It would be really helpful! Btw this page is a life saver ..thanks!! ps: look forward to my request i need it ASAP. :)

by alsmith angelina (guest), 24 Aug 2015 14:53

I've had a few requests for that… Sorry just don't have the time. However!

There is a print option at the bottom of the page. You may be able to print to a pdf.

please please please, if you have chance, add any math hl videos! my class of '17 is the first class in the entire school's history to receive the IB diploma! they even warned us that the program will not be okay and we're the experimental class (the lab rats). by the way, my school and only 2-3 others in the entire city have this iB program. any help you're able to give us, I'll be more than grateful! thank you!

Question 6 - Part b. 72 is one standard deviation away, but 90 is not. 88 would be 1 standard deviation away.

Yes it should be 'right', not 'left'. I was just going to post that here.

Thanks m80, you saved me for paper 2.

Only thing I can recommend you change/input is to show the process of using the "exponents and logarithms" equation when finding the nth term in a finite geometric sequence. Wolfram was a little difficult to comprehend for that exact example.

In the section of graphing inverses graphically, you wrote "If we assume that the red function is the original and the blue is the inverse function, we can notice the the x-intercepts of the original function "become" y-intercepts of the inverse and vice versa." However that would only occur if the blue is the original because the x-intercept of the blue function is the y-intercept of the red function
